Serves as the primary project management resource to the Vice President & System Chief Pharmacy Officer, supporting the full portfolio of system pharmacy services — inpatient pharmacy, outpatient and ambulatory pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, clinical pharmacy services, medication safety and quality, pharmacy regulatory and accreditation readiness, pharmacy informatics and technology, 340B and pharmacy business operations, and system pharmacy strategic planning. Manages projects across all phases including initial business planning; scoping; funding and capital approval; design; implementation; go-live; stabilization; close-out; reporting; and executive presentations. Accountable for overall direction, administration, and successful completion of assigned projects and programs, including clinical, operational, financial, quality, and schedule outcomes. Coordinates projects with multidisciplinary teams comprised of pharmacy leaders and staff across all campuses and service lines, together with medical staff, nursing, quality, finance, supply chain, IT and informatics, compliance, legal, human resources, and external consultants, vendors, and accrediting bodies. Ensures alignment with pharmacy strategic priorities, the JMH True North Goals, and applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements (The Joint Commission, CMS, CDPH, California Board of Pharmacy, USP, HRSA 340B, and DSCSA).Education:
Bachelor of Arts / Science in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Project Management or a related field - Required
Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or MPH) - Preferred
Experience:
5 years related project or program management experience - Required
3 years of experience in hospital pharmacy, health system operations, or healthcare project management including multiple site coordination, multiple service lines - Required
3 years’ Experience supporting regulatory readiness (The Joint Commission, CMS, CDPH) or healthcare technology deployments - Preferred
Previous experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving clinical, operational, financial, and technology stakeholders - Preferred
Skills:
Working knowledge of hospital and ambulatory pharmacy operations, medication use systems, and health system service lines.
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and accreditation standards applicable to hospital pharmacy, including The Joint Commission Medication Management chapter, CMS Conditions of Participation, California Department of Public Health, California Board of Pharmacy, USP <795> / <797> / <800>, HRSA 340B, DSCSA, and HIPAA.
Working knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies (traditional, agile, or hybrid).
Working knowledge of contract lifecycle management and vendor oversight.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to translate clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory concepts for executive and non-pharmacy audiences.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
A high degree of organizational skill, with the ability to set priorities, manage multiple concurrent projects, and meet deadlines in a matrixed health system environment.
Extensive experience and knowledge of PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, or comparable project management tooling desirable.
Familiarity with Epic (Willow, Cogito), Power BI, ServiceNow, and MediTract desirable.
