Program Manager - Donor Stewardship - Foundation - Full Time - 8 Hour - Days

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director, Donor Stewardship, the Program Manager, Donor Stewardship is responsible for the management and execution of John Muir Heath Foundation’s (JMHF) donor stewardship and engagement activities. This position is essential to supporting the fundraising activities of JMHF, enhancing donor experience, growing a loyal donor base with a focus on donor retention, and increasing fundraising revenue. Responsibilities include the management of a comprehensive collection of programs designed to steward donors to John Muir Health (JMH) including effective and creative donor engagement initiatives, acknowledgements, recognition, impact reports, donor journeys, maintaining relationships with donors and prospects, the Partners in Health program, and other stewardship activities.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of work experience in directly related field in ADDITION to required Experience – Required

Experience:

  • 2-5 years working for a sophisticated fundraising organization– Required

  • Experience with Donor CRM Systems (Specifically Raiser’s Edge) – Preferred

  • Experience in an organization with a strong programmatic approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion - Preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), with strong experience in Excel data management.

  • Basic understanding of key donor stewardship principles and metrics

  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and meeting deadlines

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including gap analysis, identifying obstacles, and implementing actionable solutions.

  • Excellent verbal communication. Conveys ideas and information professionally and clearly

  • Exceptional written communication with attention to clarity, tone, and audience.

  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong customer service mindset. Responds proactively and professionally to requests from donors, prospects, colleagues, and internal stakeholders.

  • Working knowledge of events management and social media

  • Ability to work non-judgmentally and communicate professionally with persons of varied cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds and lifestyles.

  • Reliable transportation and availability for occasional nights/weekends.

  • Physically able to lift 20 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Work Shift:

Exempt Salaried (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$92,643.00 - $138,964.00

Salary

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
