Job Description:

The Pharmacy Purchaser maintains an appropriate supply of drugs and pharmaceuticals for John Muir Health System. The Pharmacy Purchaser handles ordering, invoicing, billing and tracking of pharmaceuticals and supplies. The Pharmacy Purchaser coordinates pharmaceutical cost containment programs (ie SEARCH), maintains accurate contract pricing (ie Vizient), and government drug pricing programs (ie 340B) across the health system.

Education:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent Required or

  • Equivalent Experience 2 years of College - Preferred

  • Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program - Preferred

  • College Mathematics - Preferred

  • Coursework General Science - Preferred

Experience:

  • 5 years Pharmacy - Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Preferred

  • 5 years Pharmacy - Pharmacy Purchasing, 340B program experience - Preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

  • Pharmacy Tech - California Board of Pharmacy - Required

  • CPhT Pharmacy Technician - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board - Required

Work Shift:

08.0 - 08:00 - 17:00 (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$39.95 - $53.93

Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
