Benefit Analyst - Senior - Human Resources - Full Time - 8 Hour - Days

Job Description:

Conducts analyses and interprets programs and policies so John Muir Health benefit programs are administered effectively and in accordance with the organization's strategy. Oversees and/or initiates day to day activities and interaction with plan administrators, insurance carriers and Payroll. Maintains Benefits HRIS system, recommending process improvement and efficiencies as needed. Provides assistance to employees with high level and confidential benefit issues including appeal resolution. Support to the HR department and acts as a member of the HR Team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field or equivalent work experience - Required

Experience:

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in HRIS and Benefit Administration including working with self-insured plans and unions - Required

Certifications/Licenses:

  • SHRM-CP Certified Professional - SHRM Society for Human Resource Management or

  • SHRM-SCP Senior Certified Professional - SHRM Society for Human Resource Management or

  • PHR Professional in Human Resources - HRCI HR Certification Institute or

  • SPHR Senior Professional in Human Resources - HRCI HR Certification Institute - Preferred

Skills:

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with an excellent phone manner

  • Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and agency interpretations or opinions related to healthcare plans

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Quality focus with strong attention to detail, ensuring all work is completed with excellence and to high standards for quality and integrity

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)

  • Strong background in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) data management

Work Shift:

Exempt Days (Mon-Fri) (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$61.14 - $91.69

Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
